MSc (CCA) Gathering, LT23, 8 March 2012

On 8 March 2012, the Division of Control & Instrumentation organized a dinner gathering for its current MSc (CCA) students (about 70) at LT23.  The event started at 6 pm and was sponsored by the School of Electrical & Electronic Engineering and IEEE Control Systems Chapter.  The faculties teaching the MSc course also joined the students for this event.

Before the dinner, the students were first briefed by Prof Xie Lihua, Head of Division of Control & Instrumentation, on further studies and research opportunities for MSc (CCA) students.  Thereafter, A/Prof Patricia Wong, the MSc (CCA) Program’s Student Affairs Coordinator, talked to the students on exam revision matters.  A/Prof Wang Jianliang, the MSc (CCA) Program Director, also presented to the students the result of the recent employment survey that shows promising career prospects.

The students were enlightened and encouraged by the prospects and various career options after their graduation.  They were also keen to clarify their doubts by actively raising questions.   Overall, the faculties and students enjoyed the gathering very much.  Besides sumptuous food, they had very meaningful time interacting with each other.  The evening came to an end at 7.15 pm.
