Dear EEE Alumni,
Thank you for visiting the School of EEE Alumni website. You are most welcome to stay connected with the School and around 20,000 EEE alumni, living and working in Singapore and worldwide.
Our School graduated about a thousand students every year. Our alumni can be found contributing in almost all businesses, professions and disciplines. Many are doing extraordinarily well and have successfully established their names in their chosen careers. It is good to know that we have a vast network of friends not just in Singapore, but all over the world. Affiliation with a school of this strength is a privilege. As a NTU EEE alumnus, you could possibly enjoy less than six degrees of separation in connecting to the many nodes in the Human Web, no matter how remote and unexpected the nodes may appear to be in your career path.
Producing outstanding students and successful alumni, who are caring and have deep respect for humanities, is a generic feature of a complete EEE education. The School realizes that the alumni’s sense of belonging and willingness to play a stake in their alma mater’s development is a life-long relationship. There is no doubt that the School and our EEE community can do a lot more to open new windows of opportunities to those less privileged undergraduate students, if the well-to-do alumni give generously to their alma mater. This is obviously happening and has a good social repercussion, if not for the short run, then definitely for the long run. With the quest for this culture to permeate through the EEE family, we hope to establish and strengthen the bonds of comradeship between the alumni, students and the School of EEE. At the School, we have the Alumni Affairs Committee that assists me to constantly seek new approaches to cementing relationships within the EEE family and encouraging our alumni to be greater stakeholders in bringing our School to greater heights. There is also an association of the graduates of EEE, known as the EEE Alumni Association (EEEAA), with members stretching from the very first batch in 1985 to the current cohort. We share the common vision of fostering ever closer ties between the graduates, current students, School and the industries.
Over the last two years, I am glad to witness the steady growth in the EEEAA membership and the successful branding of the association through the launching of the unique EEEAA Polo-T and the new EEEAA website (
www.eeeaa.org). Thanks to the dedicated and vibrant executive committee members, the large community of EEE alumni and their family can now enjoy a whole new experience of a wide variety of networking events at the subsidized rate throughout the year, ranging from career talks, BBQ, tea appreciation, brewery tour, wine appreciation, coffee appreciation to sky ski, and forest adventure. The executive committee of EEEAA has also immense opportunities to learn and sharpen their management skill in our team bonding activities.
This website serves to provide a convenient networking point for the EEE family, highlighting the various projects, publications and alumni events organized by the School and the University. It is our hope that through these activities, our EEE alumni will continue to keep in touch with their friends, the School and the University. Looking forward, we would like to hear more from you, our alumni, about your interesting stories as you write each chapter of your life upon graduation. Two new columns “Who’s Who in EEE Alumni” and “Hello, Alumni” are launched to encourage the sharing of success formulae, positive perspectives of lifelong learning experience, as well as the reminisce messages from our alumni. We also welcome dedicated individuals to join the executive committee as members or form interest groups to help developing and promoting the School of EEE. With more talented alumni leaders, we can look forward to more interaction, teamwork and joint activities between the EEEAA, student clubs and relevant industries.
We wish you every success in your career and future endeavors and hope to catch up with you in one of our future alumni events.
