Lectures on Project Management 

The purpose is to impart an overall understanding of project management so that students are able to adapt the generalized knowledge and principles delivered in the lectures to fit within their unique and specific workplace project needs. 

The main issues covered in the lecture include:

  •  Project Management Concepts: The project manager, The project team, Defining a project
  • Tasks and Relationships: Elements of project planning, Task, Dependencies
  • Working with Time: Task duration, Elapsed time, Work calendars
  • Working with Resources: People, Equipment, Materials, Scheduling
  • Working with Costs: Per task costs, Resources costs, Other costs
  • Project Tracking: Saving a baseline, Posting actual amounts, Tracking variance

Due to the capacity and availability of LTs, two series of lectures have been scheduled as follows. Students may attend one of them based on their available time.
