​SaRC Visit by Ngee Ann Polytechnic

​A group of nearly twenty students and teaching staff from Ngee Ann Polytechnic, Singapore, visited Nanyang Technological University School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering’s (NTU EEE) satellite research labs on 20 June 2017. The group of top-tier poly students who are currently taking their school’s premium satellite course was treated to an eye-opening and enriching tour of NTU EEE’s operational Mission Control Room, clean rooms and labs.

A presentation, and satellite demo were conducted by the executive director of the Satellite Research Centre, Mr Lim Wee Seng and staff at the research labs. An introductory presentation was conducted, on topics such as the basics of satellite technologies, full flow development cycle, launch activity, and actual satellite ground operations including real-time communication with functioning NTU EEE satellites such as the VELOX-CI.
