Independent Study Module

  1. Selection of Study Option Students must select their option of study as “Coursework Only” via GSLink, before register for their Independent Study Module during the course registration period. The ISM will be counted towards the maximum registered courses per semester.  

  2. Registration for ISM topics Students are allowed to view, select and apply the Independent Study Module (ISM) via the online MSc Project Management System (MPS). Subsequent submission of final version of the Independent Study Module (ISM) report would also be via this system. Please click here to access MPS.  The user account for logging on to MPS is the same as the account for NTU GSLink. Please access via NTUVPNif you are outside NTU. Click here for installation of remote access service. 

  3. ISM Assessment Students are required to fulfill the following tasks to their supervisors by week 13 of the respective semester: i) Project oral presentation ii) ISM report submission Note: Any request for extension for one additional semester to complete the independent study must be accompanied by an interim report submitted by the student to his/her supervisor by week 13 for approval.  

  4. Submission of ISM Report Student has to submit his/her ISM report (final version after their oral presentation) via the online MSc Project Management System (MPS). Students’ ISM assessment will be done upon receiving the report submission. Please click here to access MPS. The user account for logging on to MPS is the same as the account for NTU GSLink.
