Graduate Certificates (GC)

Grauduate Certificate Courese are offered to the working professional who hold a bachelor's degree and wish to pursue their study in a particular area or explore a new area of interes. Graduate Certificate Courses give you an potion to expand your career opportunities without enrolling in an entirely new degree program.

OVERVIEW

Each postgraduate certificate consists of three credit-bearing courses. The credits earned through the completion of these certificate courses can be stacked towards the relevant Master's degree programme. The courses are also available to be studied on a standalone basis (as an individual course). Each course is covered in 39 hours and usually consists of 13 lectures of 3 hours each. Classes are held in the evenings from 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM on weekdays.

TEACHING METHOD

The courses comprise of formal teaching through lectures.



FORMS OF ASSESSMENT

Continuous Assessment (CA) will also take place throughout the 13 teaching weeks of the course. The types of CA that course coordinator(s) may choose from include assignments, quizzes, individual projects, group work etc. All CA grades will be taken into account in the calculation of the overall grade for the course. You are required to sit for a final written examination for the course registered. And examinations are held during office hours at the end of the course which contributes to a final grade. A certificate will be awarded to the participants upon successful completion of courses by PaCE. 



STACKABLE

For those who choose to complete the series of courses in Graduate Certificate or standalone course with a minimum of 'C+' grade  is eligible to request for transfer of credit to the relevant Master of Science (MSc) degree programme.
